New studies have discovered that the American Indians who live in urban regions, as well as Alaskan natives have significantly lower rates of survival when afflicted with cancer of the breast or prostate. It was found to be the same even in areas where the accessibility of healthcare is high and the same for all people. The findings of this study analyze the occurrence and the rate of survival of Alaskan natives and American Indians, as well as the percentage of those who stay in remission. Previous studies have also linked these races and ethnicities to a higher occurrence of cancer.
• Indian Health Service (IHS) collected the data: The Indian Health Service is within the aegis of the Department of Health and Human Services that provides health services to these two sects of people. Their facilities are found solitarily near the lands used as reservations for these people. • Concurs with other studies with other races: Other studies have also proved that, even though in some races and ethnic groups, cancer mortality has reduced, in others, it has not declined, it has either remained the same or gotten worse, especially in the populations of Alaskan natives and American Indians. • The data was collected from 582 people: Among the patients who visited the IHS centers, the data needed was compiled and analyzed from 582 Alaskan natives and American Indians, all of whom had some stage of breast cancer or prostate cancer. The new study took note of the cases which happened in an urban situation, selecting data from the patients who visited Kaiser Permanente Northern California. This is a healthcare system, which ensnares just about 33 percent of the inhabitants of Central Valley as well as the Bay Area. However, there are quite a few differences between the rate of cancer manifesting and the mortality rates, depending on the region, which warrant further study.

The topic of dairy products increasing the risk of prostate cancer has been highlighted as one of the debatable and controversial discussions. It is still not clear if the intake of any specific foods can raise the chances of developing prostate cancer. Various studies have proposed that some certain foods if consumed a lot, can elevate the risks of prostate cancer.
Dairy foods There are a few studies that have discovered that drinking or eating a large amount of dairy products raises chances of developing prostate cancer. Dairy products include food like yogurt, cheese or milk. In one such study, the results showed that those men who consumed high amounts of dairy food items every day showed the highest risk of getting prostate cancer. It is found that a high intake of calcium in the diet can lower the production of vitamin D in the body. Vitamin D helps control the production and growth of cells. If there is less Vitamin D present in the body, chances for theunchecked growing of prostate cancer cells could be quite high. Although dairy products are said to be good for the bones, it just might be a trigger for prostate cancer. There is limited evidence to confirm this and a lot more research is still required to prove this fact. But what researchers and scientist do recommend is to reduce the intake of dairy foods and products, till more concrete evidenceis found. Saying that, doesn’t mean to avoid and stop eating dairy foods. We need calcium to keep our bones strong and healthy. It is recommended that a person should be getting 700mg of calcium a day. It is especially recommended for those having a family history of prostate cancer, to cut down their dairy food intake. If you wish to decrease your risks, stick to a low-fat diet. Other foods that are said to increase the risks of prostate cancer Processed foods and red meat It has been shown in various studies that the intake of processed foods or red meat can elevate the risks of developing prostate cancer. Meat, such as burgers, sausages, ham and bacon should be consumed in a moderation.
